Write prompts and communicate with AI in the same language

Ask the right question, write detailed instructions, describe the main points and what you want to achieve. This is a brief description of a typical request that you can send to your AI assistant. Whether you use ChatGPT or an alternative neural network (and there are many of them today), the result you get will depend on how you set the task. We need to ‘spell out’ and ‘decode’ for AI what we want it to achieve.

The human brain works well with incomplete or ambiguous information, quickly forming connections, associations, and intuitive images. AI, especially language models, cannot yet truly perceive the world. Machines do not have eyes, sensations, or experience. Neural networks do not think in images, but only operate with text and statistics. Neither GPT chat, nor Google's Gemini, nor any other AI has emotional intuition. Therefore, take advantage of the advice from TON OP doo ltd company and instead of the banal ‘Write to me...’, compose a detailed request.

Be specific

Instead of ‘Create an ad for social media,’ write in detail, without forgetting the specifics: ‘Create a social media campaign for an e-commerce site that sells technology and electronics—laptops, smartphones, professional cameras, servers, video surveillance systems.’

Set a specific goal: ‘The advertising campaign should attract new customers among users aged 25–35.’

Step-by-step instructions

Describe the steps required to complete the task. If you need to come up with an idea first, then a slogan, and then select hashtags, describe each step.

Tone and style

Avoid jargon, slang, or complex phrases that generative AI may not understand. Write as if you were talking to a colleague or friend, advise the managers at TON OP company. To get the right tone for the text, add a style to the prompt — friendly, professional, humorous, or specify, for example, ‘like in Apple ads.’

Use open-ended questions

Avoid questions that suggest a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer, as these limit the neural network's ability to provide more detailed information.

Create a character

Ask the generative AI to provide answers from the perspective of a well-known person, such as Albert Einstein or Oprah Winfrey, or a specific type of person, such as a middle manager or a demanding customer.
If your customers are Generation Z or their middle-aged parents, specify this. Are they on social media platforms such as Twitter or LinkedIn, on a blog, or on a store website?

When describing your target audience in detail, write about their preferences, for example, ‘the younger generation cares about products being made from recycled materials, while the older generation cares about durability and quality.’

The most important thing in the prompt is to describe the target audience. Only then will the bot be able to fulfil your request as fully as possible. TON OP specialists will describe how to do this in detail in one of the following articles.

Describe your audience and channel

Ask clarifying questions

If you are not satisfied with the initial answer, ask clarifying questions to get more information. Create ‘chains of prompts’ by breaking down your prompts to get more specific and personalised answers. Use the neural network's answers to formulate your next question.

Set limits

Describe in detail what should not be done. Limits are not ‘prohibitions.’ This way, you will show the AI the right direction, explaining what should not be used when searching for information and in the answer.

Response

Set the format of the response and explain how it should look. You can give a specific example of what you expect as a result. ‘Make it in email format,’ ‘make it like a TikTok script,’ ‘like an advertising banner.’

What to do if ChatGPT does not understand you

Write that you are not satisfied with the response and that it is not what you need. Ask if the neural network understands the task. Suggest that it ask you questions instead. "Do you understand the task? Here's what I want: [and repeat briefly].

Smart orders. AI forecasts

The TON OP doo ltd software product optimises the entire sales process by accurately prioritising tasks. When a user updates data (current availability, sales for the current period, supplier information, etc.), TONOP immediately recalculates and updates the order plan, inventory status, calculates possible costs, and selects the right product.

TONOP uses AI to analyse sales history, current balances, and supplier data in real time. Based on this, the programme generates an accurate demand forecast, updates the order plan, and helps make effective decisions — without unnecessary manual work.
